Recall last year, when Liverpool scored a much more egregious 98th minute winner against us, that we got into a lot of trouble (especially Marinakis) for a lot less.
There’s also the post-match interview with van Dijk (no manager available since apparently it’s policy - which does seem sensible - that a manager who has been sent off may not do post-match interviews)….
…in which he criticises Doucouré (or some other blue job) for “taunting Liverpool fans” before almost immediately saying “I know it’s Everton’s cup final”… which can have no purpose other than to taunt Everton fans.
They really don’t like it when clubs don’t just roll over for them. Especially if the other club is not MASSIVE
It's one thing watching a bunch of old pros watching a game, but I absolutely can not get my head round why anyone would make a deliberate effort to watch someone offering less insight than the average drunk gobshite down the local. There's that Man U fan who apparently makes a full time living from having people watch him yell banal shit as he watches each game, and now this guy as well with almost 300K people tuned in? Why?
Yeah, that was what I was talking about when I called him a petty bitch. And whining about the ref when he gets away with probably more nasty little elbows and digs than any other player in the game. He is emblematic of the sense of entitlement that is the primary reason so many people hate that club.
Fully agree. Aside of the patronising lack of respect it shows Everton, it overlooks the fact that this is the last derby at Goodison, which is something of a milestone which he would have done well to acknowledge.
And how come he gets to bitch about the ref without sanction? Or did I miss the fine and three game ban that anyone else would get?
Anyway. This is a lovely article. Let’s make it about Everton not Liverpool, and for all the clubs like Everton (us) who can never really get used to glory days.
Double cuntitude. From Nottingham, supports Man United. Held up as some doyenne of football when he has probably never kicked a ball in his life. He is a very good example of the collapse of society that tricky always bangs on about.
It’s the modern day equivalent of going to look at the crazies in Bedlam just easier, they can laugh at him, comment on how batshit mental he is and feel superior all without moving out of their chair.
