Given the struggles they had finding him, they would do well to shut up and support their current owner lest they end up without him.

Russ would like to go on record as not knowing anything about football whatsoever.

It's about 'passion', and 'wanting it', innit? Which excuses any behaviour. The one thing any true football fan can agree on is that it's not good enough, it is, in fact, a disgrace.

Wonder whether the use of the word "organisation", rather than football club for where he worked is relevant.

Surely neither but I can think of two premier league managers who have worked for the FA, which fits the bill of a London-based organisation.

This is an excellent article about James McClean.

It might be nicely written but it strongly implies we should be prioritising a goalkeeper from elsewhere if ManU can't buy one themselves.

His next two tweets explain that they can still buy but they need to get better at selling. Also, all evidence suggests that the relationship between Man U/ ETH and Henderson is not for recovering. He's also on big money which they want off their books.

Yes, but they haven't let him go, and the DdG situation is stilla mess. We really need a keeper as I don't see either Horvath or Hennessy as anything more than a very short-term substitute.

Unless it gets done pretty sharp, I think I'd like us to move on. This feels like the Garner situation last year. Though in that situation we should have actually waited. So I cancel my earlier point. Let's be patient. Or "be patients" as Little Miss Shady says.

How are Leicester big enough and selling enough shirts to dictate terms to JD sports?

    Quoted message:

UK-based sports and outdoor retailer JD Sports Fashion has generated total revenue of £10.12bn in fiscal year (FY) 2023, up from £8.56bn in FY22. For the 52 weeks ending 28 January 2023, the retailer's gross profit percentage was 47.8%, compared to 49.1% a year ago.

At a guess, given it was only a year or two after they won the League and their popularity was still high, they told JD that they'd restrict supply if JD didn't go along with them and JD saw sufficient volumes of sales through their retail outlets that it was worth sacrificing some online sales to keep the products in stores. But that's conjecture.
