My good friend has a salesman from Italy living with him for the summer. He’s an inter fan. I am going over to watch the final. I want Citeh to win because I do and also because of the fact that next season they will have all their titles stripped from them.

Also Alfie’s son is so fascinating to watch.

Also, how the fuck can Barcelona sign anyone considering they are 2 Billion in debt.

    Horrible club.

Chicago: Rooting on the homeland team.

Essentially they have been bought by the San Francisco 49Ers NFL football team and an equity group. That is a lot of dosh there!

Leeds may come right back up with the amount of money they will have sloshing around. Although It would be nice if we just nabbed Tyler Adams and Gnoto off them before they throw cash at them. Bloody Happy Valley making those yorkshire yobbos look good to the West Coast elites here.

    Lucky sods.

    Chicago: A bit jealous actually.

Tielemans signs for Villa. Letting him leave for nothing because they needed him too much is a demonstration of how fucked Leicester's decision making has got.

The players Leicester have leaving on a Bosman this summer cost them over 100M to purchase.

How they didn't let players who wanted away, to move, is a big reason why I thought it might go titsup there (going back to the start of last season).

Keeping players against their will, while under contract, hardly ever works out well. It spreads disaffection through a dressing room. Until you get to 'they'll have to let us go if they are relegated'. Which is what I think happened there. Not all of the squad, obviously. But enough of the good ones with ability.

I wouldn't touch any of them with a barge pole.

Calvin Phillips is a brilliant, brilliant, player. I doubt that we can afford his wages, never mind a fee on top.

    We will be looking elsewhere.

    Danilo/Yates doesn't look terrible value.

Kevin De Bruyne just put his hand up after a burst, and signaled a need for a substitution.

What an absolutely top, humble, player. Really one of the very best.

The proof is in the pudding again*. Apparently.

    * No it isn't.

De Bruyne never seems to turn up in the really big games. For City or Belgium. Injury or form

A bit harsh to single him out for getting injured tonight, when most of the rest of them were just shit.

I’m not singling him out tonight. The team were pretty shit although I thought Inter gave a blueprint for teams playing City and could have easily equalised. Haaland has one chance and was otherwise neutralised. Silva and Grealish were kept quiet. Lots of mistakes but mainly due to Inter pressure.

I’m just saying that whilst de Bruyne is a brilliant player, he hasn’t ever seized the really big games for Belgium or City for whatever reason. You would expect that from a player of his quality.

Edit: He’s just said in an interview that he’s been struggling with his hamstring for a few weeks.

David McGoaldrought has turned down a contract at Derby to sign with Notts. I'm going to have to make an effort to like him now.
