How quick was the De Matteo one?
45 seconds. This one was more like 15.
VAR steps in to try and make the game more even.
If that's a penalty under the laws, explain to me again how the Maguire one against us wasn't a penalty.
The current officiating of football in this country is so bad, and random, that it might as well be bent.
I'm convinced it is vent. Not in a reds getting brown paper bags full of money way, but rules interpretations and VAR being used to judge the overarching story arc in the desired direction.
It's certainly a more coherent therory than "oops, they've accidentally made another inexplicably bad decision in favour of manure. Again."
Today’s decision was about bad law rather than bad application - refs have been told to give those all season.
The Maguire one was pure top 6 favouritism. Nothing more, nothing less.
Apparently the previous record was 25 seconds, Saha against Chelsea in 2009. This clocked in at 12 seconds.
I've no love for the scouse, but I have no idea what gets into these people's heads.
Zlatan retired.
This is a bit like when there is news of someone having died, that you thought were already dead.
This doesn't look pretty.

I realise it's in the eye of the beholder but I think it's beautiful.
