I find it kind of Alanis (ish) that they did almost exactly the same thing when sacked Gary Shit Trainers and replaced him with Zola, who they then sacked later that season when he, like Rooney, put them in free fall and only just survived, having sacked Rooney this season, it's Rowett who was (eventually) tasked with saving them.
