Don't think so, it's just what he does (see also his Forest debut, as I seem to recall).

95th-minute penalty for Bournemouth against United. 2-2 currently and VAR check in progress.
Changed to direct free-kick on the very edge of the area. Hits the wall and out for a corner.
27% possession, won 4-0.
Possession is about the most meaningless stat.
Clearly, though often used as a stick with which to beat Cooper, and Dougie Freedman many years ago.
Not by me. Our 30% ish possession against Fulham was obviously a better performance than our 60% against Palace.
Possession is about the most meaningless stat when it isn't reflected in the results.
I fixed that for you. If you're consistently surrendering possession and consistently losing, then it has some value.
I can only imagine what Clough would have said about the idea that you can be a good team when you're not dominating possession, or worse, willingly surrendering it.
I believe, at home at least, he called it sacrilege.
Every manager we've had since Warburton has primarily based their game on sitting deep and breaking quickly. To varying degrees of success, admittedly. If we have a club style of play, it's that.

I recall we didn’t have much of the ball in our second European Cup win (in the days when it WAS the biggest club competition in the world, obviously)
Bad week for Klopp's farewell tour.
Snigger.
Can it go on forever please?
What a shame.

Sure. But the point stands that the longer the opposition has the ball the more opportunity they will have to score, and vice versa.
19 year old comes on for Fulham to make his Premier League debut. 4 minutes later he clashes heads with someone and ends up being taken off the pitch in an ambulance. Poor lad.
