Arsenal look a bit like they did when they ran into us at the end of last season - like they don't quite have enough ideas how to win enough games to get over the line, and they know that they're not quite good enough to win the league.
I can't see why the panel would indulge such a request, it's like someone charged with murderer asking the judge not to sentence him to life until Thursday morning because he's got an important darts match on Wednesday night. You break the rules you get the punishment, and you don't get a say in it being dished out at a time that is convenient to you.
It's not the same, but the principle is. Someone being subjected to a regulatory punishment doesn't get to to choose when they're punished so it falls at the least inconvenient time for them. If you break the rules, the person enforcing the rules has no duty to be nice to you because the whole point is it's punitive.
We have a 7 goal advantage over Luton with 7 games remaining, it seems unlikely they'll catch that barring us getting a couple of good spankings (which obviously isn't imnpossible).
I actually don't mind Sheff U picking up a point here. It won't be enough to hurt us unless we somehow spectacularly fuck up, and that will be our own fault, and I really don't want Liverpool to win the League.
