I heard some QPR fans talking about how he had been instrumental in their recovery. It never occurred to me that it could have been for his goal threat.
It's slightly different isn't it? The EFL wanted to look at Leicester's books to try to make sure they weren't going to exceed the allowed losses for the current three year period - if they are over they would presumably be punished. Although it seems that only the premier league can punish them for 20-23, will it turn out that only the football league can punish them for 21-24, so they'd have that hanging over their heads until their next relegation.
But the whole thing is a mess and particularly so for clubs promoted and relegated within the three year reporting period.
Someone took a photo at the Coventry game yesterday of their Head of Recruitment's phone and the conversation he was having with Mark Robins on Whatsapp:
It was posted online last night and everyone pointed out that it was a clear fake and a bad photoshop job. And then he goes and does this:
If he'd just stayed quiet then no one would have believed it, instead he chooses to validate the whole thing with spurious threats of legal action that for multiple reasons are completely hollow. What an idiot.
Olympiakos lost 4-1 at home to Maccabi Tel Aviv tonight. I wonder where on the anger scale Mr Marinakis will be - discarding a badge in a hedge or (allegedly) burning a bakery...?
