Actually went to the pub with another local Forest chap and sank a good few while laughing at how utterly shit Leicester are. Raised some eyebrows in the Manchester United pub we were in by loudly cheering TAA scoring. Explained our allegiance and that he's also in my fantasy team.

Maddison wouldn’t work in our structure but a certain Harvey Barnes would and we were interested last summer.

    Chicago: Having a Barnstormer.

This is admirably crazy. Not quite up there with Connor Gallagher but close.

Barnes, last summer, was regarded as one of their crown jewels. No way would Leicester sell him to us, of all clubs. And he's primarily a winger, which we don't play with and have none in our squad (apart from Mighten but we didn't really want him in our squad anyway).

Question for you - if we tried to sign Barnes and didn't, who did we sign instead?

We knew fester were financially in the shit and enquired. They told us to bog off. Who did we sign instead? Emmanuel Dennis by the look of it.

    Chicago: Admirably crazy

Hang on. Does this mean Dean Smith has relegated 2 Premier League clubs in 2 years?

    Skillz.

Is that because he's being played out of position? When I have seen him play he looks better suited to wide forward, could he play the Kienan role?

Don’t think he’s got the physique.

To be fair they were fairly shit when I saw them in 1998 at Bournemouth Uni.

I think they actually played International Bright Young Thing twice. Poorly.

Look like, if Everton aren't relegated, the three who do go down (plus Burnley, strangely) will sue them for loss of earnings. And, thanks to the precedent of Derby v Middlesbrough, they should win as this is even more clear cut. (Middlesbrough only lost out on making the play-offs and a chance of promotion - this would be more straightforward.)

Surely only the one that finishes third bottom (in each season) has a case? Or maybe factoring in results against Everton)

Blimey - Toney banned for 8 months.

Conveniently covering two games that don't really matter and three months of the summer. But still out til mid-January if that stands.

They have Man City last game of the season. Arsenal might have feelings on the matter if City slip up in the next couple of games.

The final is 7 June which seems a long time away to be resting players this weekend (and next even).

I think the issue this weekend is more that they play Thursday/Sunday, so potentially have an increased risk of injuries due to the lack of recovery time.
