This might come as a shock but there are plenty of Forest supporters who are dickheads as well. We just regard them as the outliers...

It's probably the majority that are dickheads. There's a good chunk of this country that are, and the proportion in a football crowd is higher than general population.

Still hate the cunts from Bournemouth the most though.

This is what I want to hear from their manager and their captain.

The mood music from Arse is good for us in that they have lost belief in winning the title but any thought that they are beatable is for the birds . They are technically so much better than us and will have no anxiety which has hampered them recently. We could see a return to that early season freedom they had as it is shit or bust and they can cut us apart quite easily as we saw at the Emirates.

That said, I think we can get a point: we will need to have our best game of the season with the crowd going even more mental.

Perhaps obvious, but not conceding in the first 10-15 minutes is going to be crucial.

“In fairness” we have been quite good at that recently. It’s holding on to the lead that has eluded us.

I don't think teams that have just lost the league play with freedom. Especially when a large reason they've lost the league is because a young team has just run out of steam and two of their first choice back 4 are out through injury. Implied probability from odds is home = 16%, draw = 21%, away = 63%, which seems about right to me.

It’s the best possible time to play Arsenal.. but they are still easily the second best team in the league and even if they are sad, tired, and broken.. they should still beat us. Mind you, we played the best team in the league at a terrible time and got a point.. which nobody else has managed since.

Exactly. Arsenal are technically superior to us. But Forest are on a good run of form, tails are up, there is still unity between players, manager and supporters (pretty unusual for a team in this position at this point in the season) and the City Ground will be a cauldron. All three results are possible.

According to the form table (6 games) Aresenal are 12th, we are 13th. On the short-form table (last 4 games) we are sixth, Arsenal 12th.

It's at home, where we have been good, and in the early evening where the atmosphere is enhanced. We have been getting better in recent games, and we know it....they have just taken a kick to the guts, and we know it.

If we get nothing out of the game it wont be because of a lack of belief.

It’s not unimaginable. It is highly unlikely. But there are a number of factors that make it look less formidable than it could have been. That should give us more confidence but no room for complacency. “The best possible time to play Arsenal” is still pretty daunting.

Probability is hard. We are most likely to lose, and, if we do, there will be folk saying we never stood a chance.

Anyway, a win might get us some sleep so let's hope for that. A point would (maybe) be enough as well, but wouldn't help me rest.

    October apparently.

The VAR stuff on Monday Night Football was really interesting I thought. The amount the officials are talking to each other all the time surprised me.
