I've always been a slightly puzzled by the way footballers' medical conditions (injuries) are bandied about for discussion, given the (rightly) high premium put on privacy around medical records and the potential punishments for breaching it. Is it something in the small print of their contracts that such details can be exposed, or is it just accepted practice in the sports industry?

Derby have slowly and quietly moved themselves into contention for automatic promotion from division three, which is a real shame. Seems like perhaps Paul Warne knew a bit more than the vocal minority of fans calling for his head earlier.
Hopefully there's some second-half-of-the-season-collapse woe on its way.

Ajax were knocked out of the Dutch Cup by an amateur side called Hercules playing at the 4th level of Dutch football. The guy who scored the winning goal is a student and lives with a bunch of housemates; apparently they'd all thrown in 15 euros each and bet on Hercules to win with their buddy scoring, the winnings were over 150K.

I'm slightly biased, but I think David Prutton is about the best pundit working today. That perfect blend of an ex pro giving bits of insight, but delivered in the manner of a mate down the pub who's watching the match with you.
