Not quite. That is not quite the most satisfying way.

Lot of saleable assets there - Justin, Tielemans Maddison etc, players aged 25 and under.
Every year people expect a fire sale from relegated teams, but it's rare it's more than two or three players.
And it's fester. Worse that will happen is they don't pay the taxman/St John Ambulance/suppliers for a year or two and get away with a smacked wrist
(and it's a fairy tale, remember, if the owners do need to sell, there will be another international millionaire keen to be associated with the club (what's Fazzer up to?)).
    That said, die club, die.

Tielemans is out of contract and walking on a free. Crucially, they won't have their parachute payments (they're already going straight to Macquarie) and many/most of their players won't have relegation clauses, so the proceeds of any sales will largely go to paying salaries.

I'm still annoyed at Burnley. All the pundits told us they were going to crash and burn, totally screwed for money etc. Yet they've just walked the Championship this year.

West Ham losing in the first leg of the European thing they are in.

Given they play Leeds and Leicester between the semi and the final, would it be positive for them to go out?

  • Russpanorama_fish_eye

Of course not, playing in extra cup matches is only a positive thing. I was told.

Were you, though? Or were you told that winning cup matches was likely to be a net positive for Nottingham Forest last season?

Derby fans are getting themselves all excited because the League has apparently told them that their transfer restrictions are being lifted early, thus allowing them to pay fees for signings and loans. The League is retaining oversight of their financial affairs for the next little while though.

Wednesday are getting spanked at Peterborough in the first leg of the playoffs.

Yep. I'm disappointed. I wanted them up.

Having just been promoted, I bet the United fans are loving it. Twats.

Well done to Ferguson or McCann.

Whereas it’s ok if we have the same attitude regarding Derby?

Yeah, cause we're the good guys, and Sheffield United are cunts.

If Leeds get spanked their GD starts to become a factor, they're only 6 ahead of us.
