"They'll give this as a penalty, but it's not"
    "Penalty"
"Because they don't know what they are doing"

This is amusing. Wolves have been on the wrong end of some atrocious decisions here.

It looks like Gary O'Neil might spontaneously combust before his press conference.

If VAR was put on this planet to victimise Wolves I'm going to have to review my position on it.

It's good to think that cosmic karma is at play. Unfortunately the cause is more worldly. Shit referees, and the idiots in charge putting in a system process designed for catastrofuck.

I don't know if anyone has been following the Leeds away fans ticket pricing saga, but it's pretty fun. Leeds got fucked off with every club jacking up prices for their games, so they made an open offer to all clubs in the Championship: if you price the game against us at £30 or less for our fans, then we'll do the same price for the reverse fixture. Otherwise, your fans get charged the top price at Elland Road which is £45. Preston and Leeds have done a deal at £28 each way, Plymouth at £27, Cardiff at £21. Coventry and QPR have refused to lower their price for visiting Leeds fans and thus their fans will be charged £45 to go to Elland Road, Coventry fans are screaming about how unfair it is because Leeds fans "only" have to pay £37 which is the top tier at the Ricoh or whatever it's called now.

Loathe as I am to defend Leed, they do have a sort of moral high ground by virtue of playing at an actual stadium as opposed to a flatpack meccano identikit hellhole or 2 bob 3rd division ramshackle sports field that's not even in the top 3 2 bob 3rd division ramshackle sports fields within the local area.

They also have parachute money so are slightly better disposed financially than most of their peers, but I do respect the fact that they're using their relative financial might to take a stand on behalf of their traveling fans. I believe that the Premier League actually has a price cap for away tickets?

  • 28 Nov 2023, 6:17 p.m.

Correct. £30. Which is quite annoying as a fan (well most of the fans) that only gets to go to home games. You know all the fans sitting in the away end have paid considerably less than you.

The fuck are you on about, ticket dodging pretend scouser.

  • 28 Nov 2023, 6:27 p.m.

I don't think that's the argument, the issue is the price cap protects the closed shop, away members, cartel.

  • 28 Nov 2023, 6:28 p.m.

So you're of the view that pricing out the poors is the way for you to get better access to away tickets?

  • 28 Nov 2023, 6:32 p.m.

Jim probably is, but only if you cycle there and it directly benefits the overall immiediate concerns du jour of Shadyland.

  • 28 Nov 2023, 6:32 p.m.

What I'm saying is at the moment away tickets are well below market value which has given rise to a closed shop for the benefit of a relative few.
