I see that managers are starting to publicly say what they've been thinking for a while. The laws are ridiculous, and the officials are shit. Men in black savaged by a gerbil:

Second series of Welcome to Wrexham is much less watchable than the first. Probably because the ending is well known and much less satisfying. They try really hard to to portray themselves as plucky underdogs but the reality is that, narratively, Notts, as the lesser funded and more smartly run club, beating them to the title would have worked far better. You are paying league 1 wages in non-league football - you bloody ought to be breaking points records. While publicising the Gresford disaster is laudable, does beg the question of why it wasn't important enough to be mentioned in the first season...

In entirely unrelated news, Brighton haven't won any of their last six premier league games.

It's likely that will precipitate frustration boil-over...but don't think that the talk within the game is anything other than the officiating of games is a complete clusterfuck.

We'll soon have something to say about that.

I want to like the show, I like the idea but the people they interview to pad it out are mostly dull Welsh sorts moaning, I'm pretty sure I out-swear Phil Parkinson so that doesn't impress me and no matter how hard they try I'm just not going to have a wank over Paul Mullins.

I had not noticed until now that Cray Valley Paper Mills FC played Charlton at The Valley in the first round of the Cup, and held them to a 1-1 draw. Charlton go to The Badgers Sports Ground (yes of course I knew that without looking it up!) on Wednesday for the replay.

    Up the Mills!

And they were worried Curbishley had taken them as far as he could go...

I mean, technically speaking they were probably right.

Twatter, sorry - X - is full of rumours that Everton will be deducted 12 points by the end of the week.

  • 15 Nov 2023, 11:14 p.m.

I'm sorry to have to tell you that Cray Valley Paper Mills lost 6-1 at home to Charlton.

They were lucky to get 1!*

*clearly outside the box, although the keeper should have then walked.

If true, I'd file that in 'not unhelpful'.

I was watching with sound down and thought shit decision to not give red.

Then I realised he'd given a penalty which was an equally shit decision.

So did two wrongs make a right. Couldn't decide if they'd have preferred to play 10 already 1 down or stay v 11 but at 1-1?

I've not seen it from anyone that I'd regard as reliable yet.

It's cute that people think fairness and application of the rules could happen in football. Cute, but no basis in observable reality.

Lets not forget that manshitty have been under charge for nearly a decade, and this is a week when illegal payments were found to be made under the previous regime at chelski. When absolutely everyone knew and saw at the time, that the business model was to move the cost of elite football out of the affordability of other clubs.

The whole thing has been rotten to the core for years, and long gone. It amazes me that viewers continue to pay hand over first, to be mugged off at rigged table.

The chances of timely and fair application of the rules is clearly tending towards zero.
