I've never understood how he keeps getting managerial jobs. I guess you can only keep dining out on 'very decent ex-player, shiny, shiny' for so long before it catches up with you.

Not at all convinced he has the requisite coaching skill, general intelligence or minerals. Making a few quid out of the sackings, though.

    Oh. As you were then.

La Liga is upset because they moved the time of El Classico to try and capture the maximum international audience, only to learn that it now can't be shown in the UK as the blackout on football being broadcast on a Saturday afternoon applies to all matches, domestic and foreign.

"You should exempt us from your rule designed to protect the revenues of your smaller clubs because we're Barcelona and Real Madrid!"

Bitches, this is why we have a fully professional fifth tier and your third division is semi pro.....

His agent did a good job of making sure he got a good press for the job he did at Derby. (Basically, what could you expect under those circumstances, kept spirits up, held the club together etc.) Almost suckered Everton into giving him the job, or at least he got that story into the papers.

Same reason Steve Bruce kept getting a job, he’s a Utd legend innit.. see Gerrard, Steven for the scouse version.

Pretty sure this happened a few years back too, the coverage either had to start late or finish early due to blackout rules.

Bruce did ok in the early part of his managerial career - Birmingham/Wigan/Sunderland/Hull (yes, I had to look them up but that covers 15 years when he was getting promotions to the premier league and keeping teams up).

Even Gerrard is the only non-Celtic manager to win the Scottish league in the last decade.

Frank Lampard is the mystifying one.

I’m not sure the “Weekend Sport” is a 100% reliable source.

Apparently the rumour was propagating sufficiently to require the club to make a statement, although it does appear to have been a thinly veiled excuse for the Notts social media guy to make a bunch of Tay-Tay song title puns.

Also, I'm impressed that there's someone at Notts young enough to know what a social media is and how to work it.

Pochettino really is doing an atrocious job at Chelsea.

Absolutely terrible. The money they've spent and he can't even get a functioning top ten team going, nevermind one that's challenging. On one hand it would be crazy to sack ANOTHER manager ... On the other, I honestly think Cooper (for example) would be getting more out of them than Poch is currently.

Sheff U appear to be in trouble. I hesitate to use the D word, but 11 looks like it could be a tougher slog than it is most years.
