Premier league asking for a 12 point deduction for Everton. Pretty confident we can stay within 11 points of them, so that would take one relegation place out of consideration for us.
It would put them on -3, 10 points clear of safety as it stands. I don't know if a ten point gap with three quarters of the season to go would be insurmountable.
I thought they had 7 points now, so it would put them on -5. Still 10 points from safety but also, more importantly, 15 points below us. I think they are better than they were last season and the “injustice” of a points deduction would be a great incentive for them. So I don’t dispute they could make up some of those points. I just hope they don’t make up 15 points on us.
That's not quite on a level with saying I lack the ability for joined up thought and constantly accusing me of being a troll/someone called Pete. But I will endeavour to keep it civil henceforth if you do the same.
Sturm Graz are taking FC Genoa to UEFA over non payment of transfer fees. This is relevant because Genoa are owned by 777 Partners, the very sketchy looking fund who are in the process of trying to get approved to by Moshiri's shares in Everton.
Why is this seemingly suddenly being clamped down on so apparently strongly? I don't believe for a second it hasn't always gone on. It's almost as if the PL suddenly want to be seen to be virtuous in a relatively sudden bid to try to hold themselves up as percieved higher moral paragons of righteousness for reasons unfathomable or something. I know, ker-azy conspiracy shit hey?
I've never understood how he keeps getting managerial jobs. I guess you can only keep dining out on 'very decent ex-player, shiny, shiny' for so long before it catches up with you.
Not at all convinced he has the requisite coaching skill, general intelligence or minerals. Making a few quid out of the sackings, though.
