The arsenal keeper, replaced the previous first choice, who was better than the one that they sold to us.

The one that we have is definitely a better shot stopper than old butterfingers there.

This is a fun game, but Luton are getting away with an awful lot of grabby holdy that I don't think normally goes ignored. I don't necessarily mind as it helps the game flow, but it's a slightly different type of refereeing than we're used to seeing in the Premier League.

Arsenal win, six and a half minutes into six minutes extra time. Great game. Apart from the timekeeping. And the officiating in general*.

    * I liked it...but it wasn't to what we are told the laws and guidance mandate.

I caught the second half and it was good fun. Don't much like Arteta but in the current climate, a last-minute Luton loss seems decent.

ON that evidence Luton are staying up. What a game. Fantastic that Arsenal won that because it keeps the Mad Hatters below us but they have the spirit we had last season. Something we need to desperately recapture.

Great Game to watch. I have nothing against Luton but would prefer they stay below us.

    Chicago: Watching the fight.

Yes, I thought it was better refereed than most Premier League games I've seen recently but it probably wasn't what the league was looking for. Most entertaining game, plucky Luton yada yada.... I cheered when Rice scored.

TBF they would have been below us if they'd won as well, but I also thought at points that they played a bit like we did in a few big games last season.

Hope Marinakis didn't watch though, he might be wondering why we can't produce performances like that despite having vastly superior (or at least vastly more expensive) players.

As an aside, Ross Barkley was fantastic today. I also thought he made a massive difference to them when he came on against us. Without him I think they are shagged. With him, they have a chance.

So, a midfielder like him in the Forest midfield would be lovely. He kept calm and was very clever when things were very intense. Always an extremely talented player but I think pressure got to him and Chelsea didn't do him any favours. He was really good at Villa too on Loan.

    Chicago: Looking at the positives.

Yes, I thought Barkley was Luton's stand-out player. You could see why he's played at a higher level in the past.

I've long been a fan of Barclay. He has most of what you would want in a midfielder. Except consistency. Better then anything we have.

In recruiting him you'd have to worry about whether he would do it for you. So often he hasn't. On the other hand, if the alternative was someone like Dominguez, you'd have to worry if they could ever do that for you at the level. Probably not, and definitely not as often as Barclay has.

Has had a run of a few games recently, so well overdue an injury, he'll be out for most of the season.

Without the deduction they'd be 10th on 20 points.

Sean Dyche is an effective football manager.

Yes he is. I doubt he'd work with us, but I'm happy to see him doing well there.

He's been desperate for our job for a little while. It was just never available when he was.
