Not quite sure I see the similarity. That season was, IMO, a bit of a freak. We got way more points than we deserved, mainly due to it being Chris Woods best season of his career.

So, like, a manager putting players into positions to succeed and getting their very best out of them? That sounds fun. We should try that.

My memory is we scored almost every chance we created and the opposition didn't, kind of the inverse of this season. This year so far is cancelling out that year and bringing us back to the mean

Very sensible but Glasner's Palace team also massively underperformed their xG for the last two seasons. If it happens three seasons in a row, I think you have to at least ask whether there's something about his approach that causes it. (I don't really have a theory - i basically assumed it was just that Mateta couldn't finish)

I presume this type of thing is what the Forest hierarchy were aluding to when they said that they thought Glasner was a great manager and even better than he had done with Palace so far (in the meeting where they got the fan groups in a few weeks ago).

Nice quip but doesn't really work. We get you don't like the formation, and so far it hasn't produced the results we want, but as we've been over many times if you engage your brain and actually look at what is happening on the pitch things are quite different than you think they are.

Agree with that. So we're going to be near the bottom until the last few games of the season then pull away? Inverse league movement to Nuno's season?
