Man U have just been Spursy.
Still time for Spurs to regain their crown.

There's a(nother) fun thread there now about ( paraphrased) "the last time a club of our stature/ size" has been in their current predicament.
Coventry, Wolves, Blackburn...none are quite of their stature. Apparently.
Ho ho.
Cov aren't. Leeds, Sunderland and, err, Nottingham Forest are obviously significantly bigger.
Weren't Man Citeh in league 1 at one point?
Of course they hadn't been an oil money club before that, but they were hardly minnows.
Well, quite. I'd argue they're entirely comparable with Coventry, however.
Except Coventry are immeasurably less odious, obviously.
Last time though. Sunderland - bank of England club, six times champions of England, 50,000 seat stadium- were promoted from league one in 2022.
The Martin out thread is now 160 pages.
We've played the teams in 19th, 20th, 22nd and 23rd and haven't beaten any of them, that's an appalling statistic.
If it wasn't for everything else, I would almost feel sorry for them. I looked at the table and wondered if they'd had another points deduction, but then remembered they had Russell Martin instead which is effectively the same thing.
They still hate Cooper and his signings though, which shows impressive stubbornness given what's happened since.
It's incredible how many of them still blame Cooper. I mean, I know I look back to the sale of Lars Bohinen, but jesus...

FA Cup Final or UEFA Semi but still.

Sale of Campbell and (other) Cooper superceded that for me...
Cooper is on MNF. I’m trying to enjoy a PL game and forget about those horrendous misses yesterday, but they just keep going on about Coventrys win at Forest so I’m getting PTSD from that aswell.
Below all three promoted teams after six games is suboptimal.

Where's the comparison with how we were doing this time last year? It might cheer people up.
At least nobody is drawing conclusions after six games.
Doh!

5 points below our return from the equivalent fixtures.
After 6 games were we in bottom 3 last year? Has to be a likely chance we will be after 7 games this year.
This isn’t really “other club.”
But I did see Coventry beat Newcastle 4-1.
