To make things more cunty I lost money betting on Germany Women to win. They even had a player sent off called "Minge".

The other issue for Spurs is that when De Zerbi came in, they'd have looked at the first three fixtures (Sunderland away, Brighton home and Wolves away) and targeted a decent points haul.

Maximum they can take from those now is four and that's not enough when you're also relying on the teams above you to drop points.

After that, they've got Villa (a), Leeds (h), Chelsea (a) and Everton (h), which is far from easy.

From a Spurs perspective, they simply have to beat Wolves and Leeds. That would be 37 - maybe us or West Ham get that or less? Maybe Everton are on the beach by the game?

Walking around Palmerston North today I saw a young chap in a Leicester shirt.
It's remarkable to be wearing that today of all days. Fair play, lad.
He was with an older guy, presumably his dad, in a Liverpool shirt.

I'm not wearing a Forest shirt.

I think I've identified Spurts problem. They've clearly been having too many eggs before matches.
    It's a strain...

Maddison was in the bench for them yesterday. Chance he comes back in and starts creating chances for them.

From sixth position in the league, there are nine teams separated by six points. Which is also the current amount that we are from being in the relegation zone.

The league isn't just boring to watch, the relative standard is a bit uniformly grey.

This is what I’ve been saying for a while - outside the top 5 and the bottom two there isn’t much difference between the rest of the league. It’s just form, fitness and injuries. If we weren’t in Europe, there’s every chance we’d be where Brentford are.

Feel ok about a draw there. I make West Ham favourites in one of their remaining games (Leeds h), assuming they win that, we need match their points from the other four from our remaining five.

West Ham are our backup option in case Spurs pick up a bit.. but, as it stands, Spurs are struggling to even catch up to where we are already. If we can wrangle 4+ points from the remaining games (which our form says we will) it ought to keep us comfy.

If Spurs don't beat Wolves in their next game then they are all but entirely fucked.

We won. Spurs and Wet Ham drew, Clearly we have the momentum and they don't. How can we fail? Provided they don't wrestle it off (of) us somehow.
As for BJ - did Palace really think he would be the next Olise / Eze? Surely not. Perhaps they thought he could feed Mateta, only for him to get injured.
Did they sign Strand Larsen after BJ? I can't be arsed to check. I don't think I've seen a single minute of Palace and Wolves outside of our games against them, but I don't think Strand Larsen is a target man / number 9?

Larsen was signed IIRC on the final day of the transfer window, so I presume after Johnson.

I like him. I think he is a proper old fashioned 9. He's a bit like Chris Wood but slightly better with his feet and a tad more mobile (and not quite as good in the air). A similar skillset but with slightly different weightings. Given we have a £40m option for Lucca (lolz) I'd rather we'd just spent that money on Larsen.

Any weekend where we gain two points on the teams below us and increase the goal difference is a good one.
