Arsenal will challenge for the title. Arterta is fucking around with formations and it's not working. Thomas Partey is not a defender.

And he'll eventually realise Havertz is a bit shit and stop playing him.

I don't like Havertz much at all, but he was really good the last 20 when they were playing with ten. Always available as an outlet, held the ball and killed any momentum that Palace tried to build.

The Blunts are seemingly about to spend £18m on Archer from Villa. Can't recall seeing much of him - I assume if he's any good he wouldn't work with those cunts?

He is good but that's a bit of a gamble, I think. A couple of years ago he and Keinan were seen as similar level prospects, Archer's scored a bunch of goals on loan at Preston and somewhere else in that time.

I vaguely recall at least one from this shire sternly advocating that Archer was far superior to Davies. Not saying they were wrong, but it was a tough point to argue for those few brief weeks.

That was me, but before we got Davis and properly saw what he could do. It was based on Archer being younger, and having a better scoring record.

I don't think it's an invalid take at all. It was just an amusing coincidence that Archer had a poor run and Davis looked unstoppable.

Sometimes that can just be a function of circumstances, rather than just potential.

Keinan got to work with the better coach.

I don't know how much Bournemouth have spent this summer, but however much it is I would not be feeling like I'm getting value from my investment in defenders.

Everton concede late at home to Wolves. That's a really bad result for them if it stays the same.

None of the clubs expected to be in the bottom quater have picked up anything unexpected. Ourselves and wolves have won our games against those teams which is a real positive.

Burnley and Sheff U have Villa and Man City respectively tomorrow, both at home. Let's home both get absolutely thumped and leave them fearing what's going to happen in the reverse fixtures.

West Ham <20% possession in the first hour away at Brighton and leading 3-0.

Sheffield United finally concede to City. But 23 shots to none so far. Don't think we had that little play in an away game last season, let alone at home.
