I think I broadly agree with you. It just shows that development isn't linear, and also depends on environment and how a player is used by a coach, who they are playing with, and how (tactically). Along with physical and technical development, luck with injuries, and an intangible x factor.

Yes you'd still be out, because it's not you, Josh and David that have the conflict - it's Textor i.e. "Eagle Football". I guess he's making the point that it's not his fault, it's Textors. Textor missed the deadline. I'd argue THEY should have been more proactive in talking to Textor about the issue; there's no evidence or even anecdotes that they tried.
If Textor had put his Lyon shares in a blind trust, that would have resolved all the problems and he could still have sold his Palace shares if needed.
It's not like anyone really thinks a blind trust owns Forest.

Just listened to the price of football podcast from the day after Palace lost their Europe League place (it's hosted by a Palace fan). He sounded well pissed off. His argue seems to be that as we were deducted points for FFP recently we shouldn't be given the Europa league place . Or something.
