Some wag on the Twatter has suggested this as a song for the Palace game on August 24. Made me chuckle.
Don’t blame it on Textor
Don’t blame it on UEFA
Don’t blame it on missed deadlines
Blame it on the Forest

Maybe it's me, but that doesn't scan. Needs some editing.
"I just can't, I just can't, I just can't control spreadsheet"
How about minutes applause on the 40th minute to pay tribute to Textors glorious 40%*.

Back when the whole Palace thing started, it was said by commentators that Palace getting chucked out could mean Brighton getting a conference league place - and that it wouldn't be technically possible to move Palace to the Conference. But that's what has happened. Bit confused how that's come about. Anyone got a better handle on it?
Europa League, you’ll never sing that…
It was to do with someone else owning part of Palace and Brondby (I think) but I think that conflict was dismissed as holding was small.
Chelsea distinctly the better side so far in the CWC final.
Currently half-watching it in a hotel bar at Charles De Gaulle on the way home from a long Mediterranean vacation. I imagine my old boss (from Mulligan’s, that you once visited) is probably there in NJ, so I’m happy for his favorite team to win it. I have very little time for PSG.
And luckily they win $125M because they were struggling to sign any players.
I thought Chelsea were pretty average but made to look good by an abject defensive performance from PSG.
There’s so much space down their left it’s almost like they don’t normally have to think about defending in France…
Oh theres a fucking half time show now so I’m out
You're not wrong and it's weird, because Nuno Mendes is one of the best full backs in the world.
PSG making Delap look like Ronaldo (the OG) is not something I expected.

This reminded me to look up Tammy Abraham, who got 3 goals in 28 appearances for Milan and is off on loan to Besiktas.
I thought he was going to be a pretty special player, but it seems to be coming up a bit short.
I think I broadly agree with you. It just shows that development isn't linear, and also depends on environment and how a player is used by a coach, who they are playing with, and how (tactically). Along with physical and technical development, luck with injuries, and an intangible x factor.
I bet he could do a current 'T' level job. But you might not want to pay the fee plus wages for that.
