Watched the recording of Bayern's overnight game. Kane opened the scoring, taking advantage of a half clearance to toe poke into the bottom corner.
Was he perfectly positioned to pick up the bits and pieces or was he lagging behind the play when the cross came in?
A little from column a...
I least I briefly amused myself by pressing fast forward when the ball went near him to make him look one and a half paced...
Urawa Red Dragons gave Inter a big scare, very entertaining match but Inter were able to score twice in the last 15 minutes to scrape a 2-1 win.
Just seen that Sunderland have a defender called Leo Hjelde. And yes he is.
Born in August...
No nonsense from Jon there, not for the first time.
in Nottingham no less. (although Daddy was playing in South Korea when junior was born).
I spoketo Mrs JOH on the phone once. She was proper angry sort.
Do I recall correctly you’d found their number in the phone book?
Yes, we had been up all night drinking. Around 6am we decided to try and find Forest players in the phone book. If I remember right Jon was even easier to identify than you might think because they'd included his middle initial in his entry.
Can see how that have been invaluable in narrowing down the list of Hjedles in the Nottingham phone book.
Different world. I’ll take a wild guess and assume that MGW et al are ex-directory. Mostly to foil pissed-up Webmongs like Ingo
Doubt many footballers bother with a land line these days. Not least because they are scheduled to be turned off for everyone, and we will be on VoIP, if at all.
I find it crazy that most ISPs insist on putting a landline in as part of your broadband package.
Buy SOGEA, don't buy a landline. I use Zen, a bit more expensive, but much higher quality...no traffic shaping, low contention rates, full IPv6 support, no blocked ports.
This is one of those areas that if people timidly eat the crap that's fed to them, it doesn't get better for anybody. As you know, I've been on the streets with a pitchfork about the standard of UK network provision since the nineties. We are being milked, not being given competitive offerings (see also the cost of most provision of utilities and services). The market is not providing.
Only we can do something about that. They wont. Nothing personal, just business.
Don't blame the providers, blame the markets. RGUs (Revenue Generating Units) are a key criterion in assessing telco performance, a net loss in RGUs will negatively impact share price so it's perversely in our interest to give you a copper line and a phone number you'll never use and never pay for. As tricky says we're in the process of pulling copper out of the ground now so that stupid practice might finally go away.
