I’m not sure we really gave the Arsenal “tifo” (and that word is doing some seriously heavy lifting) the derision it deserved.
Rather like “North London Forever” it’s another pathetic attempt to create an “atmosphere.”

I’m not sure what’s worse: how crap these attempts are or how eagerly Arsenal fans seem to lap it up?

(I recognise the generous use of quotation marks here)

Agree totally. Those über-corporate flags that are waved by ground staff behind the goal every time they score have always aroused irrationally disproportionate anger in me, too. It’s football fandom done by the club committee, & it feels about as joyous & spontaneous as that makes it sound - i.e. not at all.

I'm led to believe that some people enjoy group organised expressions of fun. Rather than wanting to scratch their own brain out in the presence of it.

I agree. But isn’t it also only one step up from having piped-in music playing just before kick off so you know exactly when to sing the club’s ‘anthem’?

Yes, it is. I’ve never really subscribed to the cult of MoK.

But the contrast between what Forza do & that risible Arsenal tifo was pretty marked. I have heard (on the Totally Football Show) that Arsenal fans wanted to do something of their own but the club said “Naah, we’ve got this…!”

If Chelsea win the conference league, what happens to the European spots - an extra europa league spot? Trying to understand if it's good for us potentially?

It’s only an additional place if they don’t qualify for the Champs League or Europa League through the league. So almost certainly irrelevant for us. We probably want City to win the FA Cup though.

Not long back from Kettering where Harborough lost on penalties.

Kettering were the better side but after being 2 nil up on penalties after 3 we should have won it. Some horrendous penalties from both sides, 7 missed in total with Sandro dragging one badly wide.

And I know I’m feeling bitter but the ref was fucking shite, Kettering fans are inbred and the Kettering manager is a massive cunt.

Didn't 'cheeky daft as a brush fighting his demons so domestic violence and genetal cuntitude is OK to ignore' Gazza have a very brief stint in charge of Kettering in the mid 00s before being sacked after the initial appointment had served its purpose in briefly whipping up national media attention / being a bit shit? Or did I make that up?

Just seen that neither the ticket details nor even the kick off time for the cup final have been announced yet. Supposed to be two weeks on Saturday…

    Still no decision.

Appears BBC want it on early, so it doesn't clash with eurovision, ITV want it late, so they can get more money from advertising.

Making a great case for it to lose its protected status, so well done all round.

Shouldn't the FA just tell them to fuck off, it's at 3pm Saturday?

    Job done.
