I still have to metaphorically pinch myself that we have gone from hoping the big clubs beat our relegation rivals to hoping the big clubs win in europe to fuck them up domestically to aid our Champions League qualification hopes.
They're not top of the pile, but I don't like them one bit. Honestly, our lofty position has me not really caring all that much about most other clubs. Our traditional rivals are ass and our more recent annoyances are currently looking up at us enviously. I was out drinking with a Sheffield United fan last night and I even found myself thinking that I wouldn't mind if they went up again.
Faced with the choice of Man U v Olympique Marseille or Spurs v Eintracht Frankfurt, I decided to watch Crewe v Cheltenham. I don't know who decided that the correct abbreviation for Cheltenham on the scorebug should be CLT, but I am sure it was a deliberate and conscious choice.
City are getting stuffed at home by Palace, who are 2 up and it would be 3 but for a close but correct offside decision. Palace aren't even anything special, they're tidy and competent but City are miles off the pace.
Edit: good job Russ. Within 60 seconds of posting that de Bruyne puts a free kick into the bottom corner.
