Van Nistlerooy got the job largely because of how well he made Leicester lose, so why should they expect something different?

I can't be certain as only skim read tbe last couple of pages of tbe RVN thread on Foxes Gibberish, but the vitriol for Van Nistelrooy seems to almost surpass, and certainly equal, that which SSC got.
Which is impressive given the special brand of hatred they appeared to have for him followed by the frenzied collective excited squealing chimp wank that was going on when Ruud pitched up with his canoe shoes just a few short months ago.

But it must deeply rankle that the manager who is best equipped to get them promoted next year is also the one who could have kept them up this year

There does seem to be widespread acceptance on that site that Cooper was a far better manager than van Nistelrooy, and that the two names that they would have preferred (Moyes and Potter) both turned them down.
