Lerma is a decent reminder as to the gap between our squad and Bournemouth's last year and this. Theirs was a (poorish) Prem squad and ours was a mixed bag Champo one. Parker really was dreadful.

Why? It would still have been good for Saints to win. It's also good that Bournemouth smashed Leeds.

I would still take our squad over Bournemouth's. With a regular level of injuries we're better than them, they have a couple of really good players and some right old shit.

I think I would too, but I am very biased. It's more a note about how we had to buy so many players because the quality of the squad was wafer-thin.

Their remaining fixtures are Man City and West Ham away and Newcastle and Spurs at home.

1 May Everton (h), 8 May Fulham (a), 15 May Liverpool (h), 22 May Newcastle (a), 28 May West Ham (h)Could get a point at Fulham and would probably beat West Ham on the last day, if it came to it.
Entirely possible that four points (or even three) is enough for us, whatever happens today.
