Careful mate, someone who didn't know you better might interpret that as optimism.

Less than that. Wolves still have to play Ipswich again, so at least one of them must drop points there.

    But probably 71 or 72.

Actually, I don’t think we are there yet! But I can’t be bothered/don’t have a model to do the maths for every connotation based on the remaining fixtures.

The mean over 28 seasons is about 36 points so you could argue we are over the line….and there have only been six occasions in that time where you needed more points than we have now (38, 38, 39, 39, 40, 42….West Ham were famously relegated with 42). Opta has us statistically at 0.0% for relegation

Even I am feeling pretty comfortable that we will stay up…..

Over a season, if every team one every home game, all teams would end on 19x3=57 points. If two teams lost every game including home games, third bottom would go down on 63 points. I think that is the mathematical maximum number of points you could go down with. Obviously, it is now less than that because results haven't gone that way. But I'm not going to tty to work it out three beers in.

Saw that Bowen fractured a bone in his foot. With Antonio out for the season, at least, and Fullkrug not very good so far, guess west ham will be grateful for the gap to the bottom three.

Derby have just conceded a goal from a huge punt from the other half of the pitch, like the Beckham worldie from way back when.

And 2 mins later, conceded a third.

Brentford doing a Forest against Arsenal. 1-0 with 20% possession.

    1-1 now. Boo!

Anyway, they just talk about Arsenal chasing liverscum. No mention of us at all. Which is optimal because I don’t want anyone to know that we are ace. Buemo is a great player though. Wouldn’t it be great if we nicked him from Bentford.

    Chicago: Money man.

    1-3 now. Triple boo.

Yep, never a mention of Forest by the great, wise pundits. Our fault for occupying a league position that belongs to one of the Big Five, I guess.

I would exempt Shearer from that, but I suspect he only praises Forest to piss off Lineker.

    Arse…

Oh well we can float under the radar until we shitcan the Scouse in a couple of weeks.

    Chicago: Ever the optimist.

Foxestalk is hilarious on the topic of their potential deduction. Half of them are "fuck you Leicester and in particular the owners and management team who keep doing this" and the other half are "fuck you EPL and EFL, you're all out to get us because you're mad that we won the league a decade ago and the only reason this is being announced now is to fuck up our transfer window".
