With the top three in the Championship stuttering a fair bit of late, Southampton have quietly moved up into a position where if they can win this evening at home to mid-table Preston, they would be just three points behind Leeds in third (with a game in hand) and four behind Lestoh in second.
At this stage of the season, that's still clearly a tall order to break the top two. But it might just be enough to make those cunts down the A46 sufficiently anxious that they could yet blow what looked like a nailed-on title a couple of months ago.
