Steve Hodge has just warned against Forest fans thinking the tie's done now we've got them back to the City Ground all-square.

Thought Porto looked excellent going forward tonight - movement and passing was very easy on the eye. If they could finish, they'd be out of sight at this point. As it is, we've still got a great chance but need to be a whole lot better.

Given we haven't scored at home for about 3 months I doubt anybody was getting complacent.

6 weeks, but nothing wrong with a bit of hyperbole.

I presume it's still true that the last Forest striker to score at the CG is Chris Wood.

Back at hotel. Tram from stadium ran non-stop to Trinidade, and so skipped all the stops close to my hotel. A bit like the old days when they forced you onto a train whether you wanted to get on or not.

Anyway, tried to find something to eat; debated a kebab as it was one of the few places open, but realised I'm not pissed and the thought of a doner kebab turns my stomach. Had a gelato instead, and went for lemon and orange, even though the shopkeeper translated it as carrot.

So, time for a shower etc. shot of coffee or two and then hit the road. Google says around three hours to Lisbon airport at this time of night. Not too concerned at this part of the journey, the most stressful part will be Heathrow to Stragglethorpe.

Bumped into someone else who has a worse journey. 0555 flight to CDG, then on to Birmingham where he's being picked up to go to the funeral. I'd rather have my journey.

The post match was probably the worst of all the trips so far.

Not sure how we got a point, but also think we should've nicked it with the Jesus 'goal'

I think I have climbed more stairs today in and around Porto, at the ground and using the metro than I do in a month normally. Back at hotel and my legs are fucked!

It was as hot as Seville today and still shit at 11pm.

Don't envy Marcus driving now, but safe travels.

A good trip all in all and worth it to witness that OG. Drive tonight isn't much worse than some I've done back from the CG after a Thursday match! Wrong side of the road, but I'm used to that.

Also managed to get seat 4A on flight back; if we go into the A gates at Heathrow should be fine.

    Good luck Karl.

Brilliant city. Loved every minute. We were in the posh seats in the lower tier - a bit of a mixed zone which made it a bit odd, but not in a bad way.

As for the game, can't deny a bit of disappointment with how we performed, but drawing the away leg of a quarter final to a decent team is a good result. Didn't seem we picked up any injuries either.

Macatee though - that game was set up for him. And he didnt show up , again.

Made it to airport in 2.5 hours. In lounge 10 mins later. Flight is currently on time. Breakfast and tea and then head through to the non-Schengen departures.

After a comfy hour or so in the lounge drinking some proper tea at last and having breakfast, now at the gate. Zero queue for EU passport holders, and my usual smug glance at the Brits clutching their non-EU passports as I reached the gate in five minutes. Now hoping it's not a stupid bus ride to a remote gate which is fairly common in Lisbon airport. Flight still showing as on time currently.

Now boarded. Proper gate rather than remote which helps. Will try and stay awake for a cup of tea and maybe some breakfast and then grab 90 minutes or so sleep.
Mustn't forget my laptop bag which I've stashed under the middle seat; exactly the sort of thing that I do, especially when in a rush. I lost two very good pairs of headphones on separate occasions when rushing to make connections in the US. Someone reminds me to make sure I take it...
