Like Sunderland lots of huff and puff.
Also like Sunderland we don't have much beyond shots into traffic / straight at the keeper from outside the box or lobbing fairly optimistic crosses in.

I reckon this must be up to a 9 on the Donny Scale

Can we get that midtierland manager in? He seems like he has a plan, and another plan. Looks like he knows a thing or two about football. He's everything our Angie isn't.

No donnying required. It is shit, the new manager is a clear downgrade, and we're in deep trouble that his track record clearly says will not be resolved by giving him time. Get him the fuck gone.

I take slight issue with this lobbing hopeful crosses into the box against Sunderland narrative that I've heard you and one or two others say. These "hopeful crosses" should have led to 2-3 goals against Sunderland but for poor finishing. Isn't the real story that we put in some excellent crosses and the strikers let them team down?

International break coming up after Newcastle at the weekend. After we get absolutely pumped by them would be the ideal time to get this idiot gone and hire a proper manager.

Dead right. Nothing about the appointment made sense at the time and all the obvious failings are playing out as expected. Get him gone before he does any more damage.

I thought it would be after the Man U game that he was sacked, but I can't see him lasting that long now.

As I said in the Sunderland thread the only one we should've scored from was the Wood header. There were a couple that led to reasonable chances and a fair few more were no threat whatsoever.
And of course the bloke who put the best couple in isn't even eligible tonight.

Sounds like a fairly decent return to me. If we could create a similar level of chances from crosses in this game in the last twenty minutes I'd be pretty happy. Just got to hope a striker can put one away.

Look forward to seeing us try that against Newcastle's midgets. Sure to work.
