Think the guy stretchered off was a head injury so a concussion sub.
Think the guy stretchered off was a head injury so a concussion sub.
Kompany said it was a bad knee injury
Hadn't seen that. .must've been one of the other two who went off esrlyish I guess.
Or they broke the rules and will be thrown out the tournament and we get reinstated.
Only figured out when Kompany made his 4th sub that one of the first three must have been a concussion. The guy in front of the trent end in the second half was definitely his knee. Was it the guy who clashed heads with Yates? Although according to the idiot loudmouth behind me it was nothing and he was covering his face as he was so ashamed.
The guy who went off for the clash of heads came back on and it looked like went off with a separate injury, at the very least they've bent the rules to suit themselves because the three that went off weren't head related from what I saw
Someone went down and got subbed for what looked like nothing in the first half - was that him feeling the concussion?
Perhaps, it looked like all three that went off were holding their legs on the way off, they've bent the rules I think a little knowing they'd already made one sub because of injury. It's hard for officials or any team to prove otherwise at the time and nobody wants to be seen to be questioning head injuries given football's poor record of dealing with them.
If you go off as a concussion sub you have to not play for a week I think I read, so there is a downside to getting the extra sub.
Apparently the other team get an additional substitution to use in the game at a time of their choice, to even things out.
That is correct.
