Conversely, Smoko by The Chats is an absolute banger.

Terrible news for Chicago - Dee Snider has had to step down from Twister Sister due to health issues, so the reunion tour this year looks to be in jeopardy.

Good news for @chicago, the Twisted Sister tour will be happening. Sebastian Bach is stepping in for Dee Snider, although I do have to wonder if it's really Twisted Sister without Dee.

It's not Twisted Sister without Dee. Why isn't he involved? That's weird. Health issues? The man is a rock... Oh Shit, Degenerative Athritis due to mega frontman performances and an unknown heart issue. That makes me sad. He truly is one of the greatest front men ever.

in other news Biffy Clyro got rescheduled to the House Of Blues in April which is optimal. Also Metallica are playing the Sphere in Las Vegas and we are Fifth Member subscribers and are trying to get tickets before the prices get ridiculous. Let's hope we manage it.

My limited experience here concurs with this. Especially in Chemist Warehouse. As generic as most of the Tinder profiles.

That said, there are exceptions. For example, I enjoy Courtney Barnett and her stuff with Kurt Vile was cool.

Went to Sleaford Mods at Brixton Academy last night. Thought it was the best I've seen then, I do like the new album.

Gwendoline Christie came on for Good Life (as did the other guest artists on their different songs).

I really like the new album. I never really got all the hate, to be honest.

I saw them at Rock City last week. I'd also agree it was the best I'd seen from them (4th time i think). We didnt get Gwendoline unfortunately, but we did get Sue Tompkins and Snowy. The song with Snowy was about my least favourite on the album beforehand, but it sounded mint live.

Whereas No Touch with Sue Tompkins is ace.

In a different way to the batshit ace Gwendoline Christie / Big Special one.

Can't really justify dropping the $200+ to see Sleaford Mods in Wellington next month. I just don't have the money :-(.

For £200 I'd expect them to play in my front room, and tidy up after they left.

No reflection on the Sleaford Mods, who I think are ace...but the modern costs of a gig (and the on demand pricing that means the whole fucking exercise is orders of magnitude more expensive than when you checked five minutes ago), and how much fun has been extracted out of them (bands start too early, finish too early, and it's more like a fucking church service these days. - "Please be respectful of our neighbours and leave quietly", "please don't interfere with the sound desk, or lighting rigs", "please don't chuck bottles of piss at the support acts"...etc. etc). Leads me to conclude that the whole modern experience is a bag o' wank.

I'm assuming that's an all in travel, staying over etc price. London tickets were about £45 I think

Okay, at forty five they don't have to clean up after, or bring a support act. And I'll toss in a couple of bottles of IPA.
