Seeing Die Spitz tonight. Feel like Psycho and Bobbins will approve of this one.

Africa is the absolute Gold Standard of excellence for easy flowing 80s dad soft yacht rock and could be argued as being worthy of inclusion on any playlist.
I think it's that perfect example of an outstanding song that's also completely shit, that is both of it's time and timeless, that I am happy to hear but have no desire to ever hear it again.
It's an all things to all people song. And at the same time also nothing.
It's quite brilliantly middle of the road.
That's actually quite a brilliant description. Well done.
Verdict?
Very good. Not quite as shouty or frenetic as I expected. Reminded me of Brody Dalle but a bit less angry, a bit more playful, and a bit more stoned. Definitely recommend.
Support was another all girl punk / hardcore band called Babe Haven. Loads of fun. Also worth watching.
Baxter Dury at Rock City tonight. Mint.
If I have the energy because I am burnt out then we will be going to a small place to see Biffy Clyro on December 10th.
Might not make it as I cannot shake this fatigue. I suppose not working 15 hours a day is the solution but y'know money.......
Chicago: Feeling Biffed Up.
And last night was Cabaret Voltaire. Decent gig if not brilliant. So much comes from them. Proper pioneers
Have I raved to you about Cross Dog yet? If not then Cross Dog. Angry political punk, super tight musically, saw them supporting Propagandhi and they might have upstaged them. Worth a listen.

I saw them at a small venue for an album launch show a couple of weeks back, they did a semi-acoustic set, it was very good.
Was looking forward to seeing Biffy Clyro next week in a smaller venue and they had to cancel ithe December 10th show because they couldn't get a visa. Or somebody couldn't.
Huge disappointment as I haven't seen them live and I really like them. So since the show was postponed, not totally cancelled, I actually cannot get my money back as I can use the ticket for sometime in Spring, unless they cannot get a visa again. If that were the case, (I suspect a paperwork fuck up), then I would be concerned that my favourite Scottish band may fallen foul of someone.
Bugger.
Chicago: Biffed.
Spotify released Wrapped today. Apparently someone hacked my account because for the life of me I don't know half the songs that are classified as my favourites.
Very odd.
My top ten most listened to song allegedly are:
Universe (gravity for Hearts) - Helloween
Desperados Under The Eaves - Warren Zevon
You - Kind Of Like Spitting.
This is Tokyo - Helloween.
Power - The Bouncing Souls.
Disbelief - Bad Cop Bad Cop
Winners Circle - Daddy Long Legs
Giants On The Run - Helloween
No Such Thing - Agent Orange
Oowatanite - The Dirty Nil
I can only assume that it counted plays offline when I was in the desert with no cell service and it played these songs over and over. Anyway.... weird.
It wasn't wrong about my most listened to album though, Futique - Biffy Clyro, So that is something.
Anyway, AI - going to kill us all or misrepresent us so much that someone will kill us anyway...
It's all a misunderstanding.
Chicago: Music Mogul.
My 15 year old daughter has the music tastes of a 54 year old man apparently. I'm happy with my work here.
I listened to 284 genres of music apparently, despite mainly playing Sleaford Mods and Baxter Dury all year.
I didn't really recognize mine either, apparently the Stereophonics were in my top 5 artists this year. I maybe listened to them twice.
