I foresee a trip to London in 2025.
I never got to see them when I was a fan. They were supposed to support REM on the Monster tour which was just as they were becoming massive, and (allegedly) they got a dose of the Billy Big Boots and pulled out because they decided they were too big to be a support act.
I’d go and see them if I had the chance. There’s a lot to love from those first two albums and I rate Liam as an absolute top class frontman. They were a huge part of my musical journey, even if they’re a long way from my current playlist.
I don’t imagine they’ll venture this far, alas.
I saw them at the Bournemouth International Centre on what we now know was their final tour. They were incredible.
I saw them in a tent in Preston, 4th on the bill at a free festival. Enjoyed it, but wouldn't bother again
I got both Definitely Maybe and What's The Story for Christmas in 1995 and absolutely loved them. Be Here Now was an obvious disappointment and they never recovered for me, but Oasis were a massive part of my teenage years and one of my regrets is that I never saw them live. I'd have loved to have seen either the Knebworth or Maine Road gigs.
I suspect tickets for a tour, should this be the announcement tomorrow morning, will go in minutes. Even inevitably some way from full-tilt, they won't have any problem selling out whatever stadiums they include.
I saw Liam in a pub in Primrose Hill once. A boiling hot day and he still had his big coat on. Looked like a tramp.
What's the Story was the first proper album I bought and I saw them 3 or 4 times but they were on their way down for the last couple, I think I'm over it.
I saw them play at Denver University circa 2000, Travis were supporting.
It was a bit odd because the auditorium was like a small theatre, the local crowd were a bit demure, quietly watching while seated, a smattering of Brits (me included) being larey, dancing and singing along, whilst being tutted at for ruining the view of the stage.
Also later met Liam outside a recording studio in Chsiwick, he was with his drummer, who I knew personally as he'd worked with my brother in law, so got to have a brief chat, he was v nice and shorter than expected.
Literally the same. With the Appleton girl. Took a piss next to him in the urinals and had a cheeky glance at his knob.
Was it The Queens?
I may have been at that very festival.
I saw them on their 10 years of noise and confusion tour in an intimate gig at Manchester Apollo.
Saw them early on at I think the Hacienda and Manchester Uni. They were decent.
But if I'm going to listen to pub rock it's more likely to be Dr Feel good
Somewhat jaded in my eyes as Manchester got riddled with mediocre Wannabees. Tribute acts to a tribute act.
I actually had the opportunity to see them at Leeds Irish Centre very early in their career, a guy I worked with was a huge muso and very plugged into the next big things. He asked me if I wanted to go but I had some long forgotten reason why I didn't bother.
Just been to the Mother in Laws 80th lunch. The pub did not tell them that they were running an Abba tribute act on the balcony. My feeling on tributes, karaoke and Abba are well known.
The metal cruise that I'm going on in February just announced Trouble as one of the bands playing, and one of their sets will be playing the entirely of The Skull. I am excited.
