Very twisted sister?
Turned on the last throes of the last night of the proms. Don't mind a bit of Land Of Hope And Glory. Possibly the only thing I miss about London is The Royal Albert Hall. Although I've never prommed. And before I get accused of being far right I sang the 'we hate Tottenham Hotspur, we hate Liverpool too' lyrics. Much to Mrs Rave's amusement.
Suddenly worth it for Bill Bailey playing the organ.
Oo-er.
Have opened a beer and am now getting into the mood for tonight's concert, which Psychobel will be pleased to learn is Propagandhi. Seems like an appropriate time to be belting out The Only Good Fascist Is A Very Dead Fascist.
So I am currently listening to the new Biffy Clyro album and will follow that up with the new Paradise Lost opus. I will be listening to them all day in-between clients. And all is right with the world....
I mean it isn't....but this should help....
Chicago: Woe is me, Wow is me.
Well fuck how did I miss this!!!!! Got to go before Grandad Snider (and me) croak.
I feel totally overwhelmed with work at the moment with more and more workouts (currently around 130 a week) where I feel completely out of energy when the weekend arrives. Because of this I missed Riot Fest which I love and by all accounts and purposes it was a great festival with cracking music and energy. Idles were apparently the stars of the show even though the headliners were Green Day, Weezer, Blink 182 and Jack white (well he appeared with pretty much every band all weekend).
I really need to get my priorities in order. (Although the outdoor Infrared sauna is a bit tasty....)
Chicago: A bit of a mess.
Conservatives got upset with Gwar for beheading an effigy of Elmo on stage, which anyone remotely aware of Gwar and their act should find immensely amusing.
Went to see Post Malone last night. I only know a few of his songs but it was a decent show (I tagged along with my daughter, wouldn't have gone otherwise).
I think Post Malone is a very talented boy but he seems completely trashed all the time like he cannot handle all the limelight. Everytime I see him, he has more and more tattoos and he is even running out of space on his face. If he doesn't stop he is going to have to end up joining Jim Rose's circus. The trend with the face paint is starting to take off and it's pretty horrible and it takes away from the music IMO. I have seen Post Malone play the guitar and do some stonking rock renditions on many instruments. I hope he has a handle on his hobbies (sic) because I think he seems like he is heading for destruction which I believe would be a shame.
Chicago: Almost together.
Didn't know what this was. Thought it might be some sort of 'after the pogues' band.
He's lost a load of weight and cleaned up a fair bit I think.
Gone country too on latest stuff.
Support act was a guy called Jelly Roll. Had never heard of him but he was surprisingly good too
Jelly Roll is brilliant
Andy Williams!!
How have I not discovered High Vis before now?
No idea. You'd think they were quite easy to spot...
