This was a suggestion I came up with, swiftly vetoed by the wife.

5 lines down, 7 to go.

No thank god, just all the lines, he planned it himself and I believe we visit 98 stations.

It seems like you could travel on each line for less stations than that, but that's probably not the point.

My boy planned the trip, just gone 13 stations on the Piccadilly line for some stupid reason, now heading back to Baker street on Hammersmith line, about to throw a hissy fit and demand a pub stop.

I will shortly be posting about how much a fucking pint costs..

An update on the air quality wouldn't go a miss either, cheers.

Finally stopped for a pint, too tired to care about the price, as for the air quality, I was gasping.

About 20 stops to go, considering putting son up for adoption.

I know your all on tenterhooks for an update.

Travelling back to Bristol now, journey almost complete. Will have taken 13 hours to go fucking nowhere.

Wife actually made it a sponsored event so raised a few hundred for local charity (not that I would talk about it obvs )

Going a bit Mumsnet, the boy did amazing, no meltdowns even with a lot of crying babies which normally trigger him, I had lots.

If I don't win dad of the week this time, I'm kicking off.

Middle lane hogs initially seemed to struggle with the proliferation of so-called SMART motorways. Suddenly having four lanes to choose from, which do they occupy whilst doing 65? The answer seems generally to be lane 3. On an otherwise empty M1 the other night, I undertook five in a row. Undertaking feels a lot simpler when you have an extra lane as a cushion. I can't be bothered moving from lane 1 to lane 4 and swerving in front of the cunts back to lane 1.

Mrs Russ dropped her phone the other day and cracked the glass. We were quoted $400 to replace it and you can buy the kit online for $60, so I thought I'd have a go. Turns out it's more difficult than it looks and I tore the screen, taking us back to the $400 repair option. "Don't worry about it" she says, "I'll see what upgrades I can get on my package". Seems she can get the next gen device for $1 a month on a new 24 month contract for the same money as she's paying now, so that got me intrigued to see what offers I have available and there are tons. Now toying with the idea of getting the new Samsung flip phone.

I also overestimated my ability to replace a cracked screen once. Finished the job, plugged it in to charge, it started smoking.

He's done well, it's a rare tube/train journey when I don't have an (internal mostly) meltdown at some idiots behaviour.

Going round the tube stations seems like a great way to spend a day to me.

Chuck in a tour round one of the abandoned ones and you’re on a winner.
