The bathroom sink is pretty much blocked so I bought some drain unblocker that was GUARANTEED TO WORK OR YOUR MONEY BACK. It didn’t work.

So I bought another type today. It didn’t work either.

I’m going to buy a plunger tomorrow to see if that does the job.

Just get one of those brushes that look a bit like a pipe cleaner. They’re only £2 or £3 and not only will they save you a fortune, it’ll mean you’re not pouring an inordinate amount of chemicals down your pan to little or no effect.

Just take the waste trap off - clear it out, wash it. Back on. Win.

Great fast paced high quality game today.

    I didn't play.

    May not be unrelated.

Stop pouring shit down your drain in hope and do some basic mechanical physics. It's not difficult to unscrew a drain and find the blockage.

Lesson learnt. A plunger was purchased and it didn’t take much for the blockage to clear.

Love that Russ thought this was some sort of physics. CERN shouldn't have wasted all that money on particle accelerators to study the mechanics of wormholes. Presumably the discovery of the next high energy particle, and unveiling the mystery of dark matter, is actually to be found down the plughole.

I think the word that he was looking for was 'plumbing'.

    Fucking autocorrect, eh?

Plumbing is the application of high school physics. Gravity, vacuums, pressure.

What isn't? I think that's why they have other special words for things. Rather than calling everything physics. As far as I know only the University of Woolamaloo applies your convention to naming.

Water-blasting the brick paths around the house. I'm sodden and filthy, and not in the good ways. Still kinda satisfying.

Inherited a camera drone from the previous film teacher. Taken it home for the Thanksgiving break.

Received a letter and questionnaire from Reform UK, with a Freepost return address.

Returned them a note of my thoughts. Resisted the urge to smear it with faeces.

Somehow, yesterday was the best day to buy a Christmas tree. Even though it was in fucking November.

Daughter came down at 11pm. Her boyfriend dumped her because "he didn't feel loved". She's 12, he's 14. I convinced her he's probably gay. Showed her some footage of male birds putting on a display to impress the females. Told her the boys need to be putting in a shift if she's going to be interested, not her job. She went back to bed with a smile on her face. Parenting.
