Am guessing he can’t get his son a UK passport unless he has one himself?

Why does he want to come to this shithole? He should stay there and fuck the sheep.

You can't travel to UK on NZ passport?

Basically yes. If you have dual citizenship then you need your UK passport to come to the UK. It's absolute bollocks.
    Just NZ, no problem.

And no, I'm not intending to come back particularly, but the family want a Euro trip at some point and if we go via London then I'm going to need it. Probably my son too, although they might not be so strict if he's never had a British passport.
At least I've been through the process now, and it's fast, at least, if sodding expensive. An extra $100 just to send the passport documents.

I really should renew my Oirish one as well, for the reasons @noodle has given, but also so that I can pretend I'm Jason Bourne when selecting which one to travel on.

I always stay around midtown for work as office is there. It's easy to get around on subway wherever you stay,

We're just starting to look at flights and accommodation for this at October half-term. Has anyone done the JFK Airport to midtown journey before with luggage?

There are some decent deals into JFK but it looks as though public transport into the centre of Manhattan could take an hour and 15 minutes. Is that correct? My recollection from when we did it nearly 15 years ago was that it didn't take as long as that.

I often get subway/LITR to Jamaica then Airtrain from there. Going on Saturday and will do that I think. Takes about an hour.

Getting a car to pick you up is better with lots of luggage but will be more expensive and definitely take longer. I've had 2 hour plus trips from JFK to midtown (or vice versa).

I have three citizenships and have very much considered getting all three passports for this specific reason.

Took a bit of a roadtrip to north Wales today with Mrs BW and Little Miss BW to take advantage of the glorious weather and being off work.

We discovered that there's a shop on Anglesey selling a bunch of Taylor Swift stuff and Little Miss BW was keen to go. Was chatting to the fella behind the counter and somehow got talking about Forest.

He said he'd been signed by the club in the late 70s as a 16-year-old along with his mate Paul Wilkinson (he said Cloughie bought him his first pint). His career was unfortunately ended abruptly after he was hit by a car which shattered his knee.

Name is Tony Butler if anyone was plugged into Forest's youth football at the time and he was a winger. It didn't sound as though he got to progress very far though before his accident.

I know someone who was in that age group (traveled with the party to the European cup final as a next coming youth player), but who never made it as a pro because of a knee injury. Don't recall the name, but that isn't definitive as I'm capable of forgetting my own.

Knee injuries must have been a large component of what stopped prospects pro-ing up, prior to better surgery and rehab.

I've always been a wayfarer sort of a guy, but as I've developed a sense of personal self worth that's basically turned into a national health specs guy.

I've never bought any fancy earbuds or sun glasses as they rarely last six months. I either lose them or break them.
