Little Miss BW, who's an only child, left her amazing primary school this week. A pretty seminal moment, I guess, but it's affected me more than I was anticipating. Weird little things like not doing school runs with her any more, filling water bottles and making packed lunches, making sure she's got her 'Friday snack' in her bag every week for morning break. Feel a bit sad.

i Have 4 children. The fact that the youngest is still alive and at home occasionally breaks into my awareness but I blur it out with alcohol.

Got a stark reminder about football talk.There was a bunch of transactions at Chelsea FC that were flagged as potentially suspicious (but they weren't). And I warned that this could happen again with any of the huge Premier League clubs like Liverpool, Man City and Nottingham Forest.
A Man U fan got upset that I hadn't included them. No "bantz".

Currently on the Greek Island of Sifnos. Son's in his forest top. Some of the unsolicited comments so far included

And

We’re going to Sifnos (plus a couple of other nearby islands) in September. Did wonder about wearing a Forest shirt in Piraeus as we’ll be catching a ferry from there. Maybe the big man is more loved on the mainland?
