I could have gambled big in Vegas in the 70s. Walking down the Strip with a mate. Flashy soft top pulls up alongside. Beautiful white girl in a black dress in the front. Beautiful black girl in a white dress in the back. They ask us if we’d like to party. My mate went to get in. But being a world weary 22 year old, I told him they were hookers. Or possibly something more dangerous. Anyway, we declined and they drove off with a “what’s the matter, don’t you like to fuck?” thrown out as a parting message. I’ve always wondered if I should have gambled. Probably not… but you never know do you?

I don't know if I ever actually saw a copy of Razzle.

It was all Fiesta, Escort and Knave when I was a kid when you stumbled across that hedgerow jackpot.

I'm afraid that the comedy writers will have to wait, I'm not going to Thurso. Being a good son and taking my mum away for a few days. For some reason she wants to go to Liverpool (I offered a 3 nights in Spain!).

Dave Rave needs wine and this lack of commitment is not going to get him any.

Fear not, Gammon - I got my monthly disability 'PIP' payment from the DWP last week. I won't be going thirsty just yet.

Good stuff, I was a bit worried because I'm not able to do a pray for rave # anymore after Tricky put some spastic coding in. The bender.

Take her up the Thurso instead. It's a desolate, cold northern place near the sea where you can't understand the local accent. She'll not be able to tell the difference.

Idly watched a reel is passing which was Will Mellor speaking to Ralf Little about blagging first class on the train to Manchester from London. This afternoon I got off the train from London in Manchester and walked past Will Mellor getting out of first class. Probably blagging. And this evening the Mrs sent me a Will Mellor video. Talking about dead cats, not first class on trains though.

Stalking Will Mellor is an odd choice. Unless you’re seeing it as an entry level stalk as you work your way to Sheridan Smith. Which is understandable.

It’s our 27th Wedding Anniversary today and wifey has booked a small restaurant so the gift I am getting today is the gift of Covid. Who said love is good for you?

Just started watching An Unearthly Child (the very first Doctor Who episode). I'm going to slowly watch the entire back catalogue of 800 episodes. It may take a while.

Blimey, that's quite an undertaking. I'm doing a similar thing currently with watching every Godzilla movie in order of release, but there are only 36 of them so it's rather less ambitious and time consuming.

I recently (well over the last few months of 2023) watched all of DS9. I find it quite nice to have a thing on the go as a casual watch. I'll still watch other stuff, and films with Mrs Shady etc. But this will be the thing I watch on the tube 20 minutes, while doing the washing up, folding some clothes etc.

I really miss my subway commute across Toronto. I used to get on very early on the line and off at the end and then vice versa in the evening so I always got a seat, and I got to watch a ton of shows with nothing else to do for 45 minutes each way.

I tnought there was some sort of dispute with the estate of the writer (Anthony Coburn) preventing it being shown with everything else 'Whoniverse' related on iPlayer. Or is that all sorted now?

Some of the longer 6-7 parters are a slog, and fuck all hapens in AUC so kudos if you're new to it and it through.
