Just handed in my notice at work, start a new job in Jan.

I’ve been working here for 15 years, a 1/3rd of my life.

I’m not as spry as I once was. Getting down scaffold safely might be a bit of a mission.

Am currently in the park hospital. Not for any treatment. Just rubbernecking, and feeling fortunate.

If you've been up there 15 years, I bet it will.

I’ll just say I’ve been near Cotgrave and hit one of the many dead badgers on the road.

I've long since been of the opinion that Chris Packham's talking bollocks and all badgers are actually born dead at the side of the road.

Applied for sprog 1's first passport and renewed sprog 2's second passport.

Means it is five years until I need to renew my own passport, by which point they will need new ones too.

The online process in the UK is preferable to the overseas process. And cheaper.

Just made the classic 'chop chillies, put in contract lenses' error.

It's been a shit week. My mum died on Sunday - which was a release for her, but still.

My dog had a £12k operation (a good chunk of it covered by insurance) and they have now told us she is susceptible to this happening again. So she has had a major operation (lung bullae), with having to be kept semi sedated in a cage for 8 weeks, and she may just get it again at any time. She's 12 so we know she hasn't got a long while left, but it would be nice for her to have a bit of time to make the stress worth it for her.

The less important one is that I have got covid.

Hopefully that counts as the third one

That all sounds quite shit. Sorry for your loss, fingers crossed for the pup, and yes, covid is definitely your three.

My Condolences on your mum, that's very sad even if it was a release for her.
I really hope your dog makes a full recovery and doesn't get it again bless her, and I hope you recover from covid quickly. That really is a very poor week indeed.

That's tough stuff Leicsred. Horrible to lose a parent no matter the circumstances. Dogs are part of the family and I would have done almost anything to keep my old lab alive. Still miss her two years later. What sort of dog because 12 is a pretty good age for some breeds? As for the Covid, TUP.

Thanks all. She's a cockapoo so 12 isn't fabulously old for the breed
