My espresso machine stopped working yesterday. No water came out. So I took it to bits and put the boiler to soak in citric acid. Then I got my broken Gaggiuino mod machine out of the loft. Thinking I might need to work out why it was broken to order the parts to fix it, in case I couldn't get my (modded) gaggia deluxe working after the boiler clean.
Woke up in the middle of the night, and rinsed the citric acid off, and rebuilt the boiler, then went to bed. In the morning I plugged in the gaggiuino (after re-seating all the components), and it worked perfectly. Then I tried the deluxe with the re-assembled boiler which also worked perfectly.
So I went from no working espresso machines to two working. Overnight, and in time for morning coffee.
To be fair, you cant really compare brown water made from a powder that was once introduced to a coffee bean many moons ago, with an actual espresso shot pulled through freshly ground beans 🤣
I've stopped drinking coffee all together. After years of having stomach issues I finally realised it was coffee. Dunno why I started really. I've always been a Yorkshire Tea person, but it's just what everyone did and does. "Fancy a quick coffee?". I say bring back a quick cuppa!
