I guess my first question would be whether there's a single central API stack, or if you'd need to connect to each force individually using whatever APIs they have decided to use, if any at all. Then my second question would be whether they're willing to let you connect to it at all, or if they've tendered the rights to be the exclusive upload portal for shitty parking photos.

Good questions. Just did some browsing. Each force seems to have a different form to complete! I suspect what may be happening behind the scenes is that the Nextbase site is just putting all the information into an email template and sending it to a specific email address at each force - perhaps with a link to the videos/photos (which are encrypted and stored on the nextbase site?).
I think I need to find someone in the police force to ask about it really which will be easier said than done.

There is no legal right to privacy in a public place and people can take all the photos of you in the street that they want. They only need your consent if they plan to use those photos commercially.
