Miami is generally a shithole with the exception of the arts district Full of arsehole people. South beach is totally over rated.

Los Angeles is horrible too. Full of awful people and generally having a massive cultural vacancy that could fill a valley. (Which it does).

San Fran is ace. San Diego used to be ace. Northern California is nice. What are we talking about anyway? I generally don’t like hot places. Although Chicago is going to hit 100f on Thursday with humidity. Yuck.

    Chicago: Travel agent.

DC is a good choice, lots to do, I also enjoyed a trip to Austin, it’s not very Texas but in a good way. Lots of small bars for a bar hopping experience. But its is full of hipster types and its still the only place i’ve seen some riding a penney farthing bike in traffic.

Personally I quite like shitholes. After all, I choose to live in England.

Wife grew up in the Coconut Grove area of Miami and went to University there. We’ve visited a couple of times and Coral Gables (expensive) and Coconut Grove are nice.
It’s worlds away from DC though, especially for cultural sight-seeing, museums/monuments, etc.
As previously mentioned, South Beach (I only visited briefly during the day) seems like my personal hell.

Yeah Miami isn't great. Chicago is wrong about LA though, it's one of the best cities I've been to. Even just in West Hollywood there's days of fun stuff to do, and if you've got kids in tow you've got beaches, amusement parks, sports, the lot.

Didn't expect to spend half an hour getting a bat out of our living room this evening.

I'm disappointed it was the living room and not the hall.

We would occasionally get bats in our house in Ottawa. Drove the dogs insane.

Shouldn't have bothered. It would've been gone when the morning comes.

You have improved upon my Bat Out Of Hall effort. Have you got another joke? 2 out of 3 etc...

    Well, obvs.

In mundane news, I have bought a new car.
A nice, sensible mid range German PHEV Saloon.

I won't miss the Cupra. It was fun for a short time but, but mostly it was / is just annoying.

In the same week as I've also bought a new fridge, a dishwasher, a kettle and a toaster.

I've only been engaged five minutes....slippery slope and all that.

Big day at work today, lots of important things to do followed by a night out with the team. So for reasons best known to myself I decided to go out until 3am and get clattered last night.

I'm such a fucking idiot sometimes.
