My sister was probably officiating it. I'm sure it's not difficult to get anyway, but in all seriousness if your girls want any signed stuff or a meet and greet with the team or anything like that drop me a message, she'd absolutely be happy to arrange it.

In other news, I fell in love with a stripper tonight. Haven't done that in many years. I am simultaneously better placed to afford to do that and also old enough to know not to spend stupid amounts of money doing so. But fuck me she was insanely hot.

Those two posts are not related, obviously. But I know you know where I'm at on the latter one.

Doubt it. He won't be back for ages yet.

I had the ‘pleasure’ of a u8s tennis fixture today, the wife normally takes my son but it was me today. Fuck me, junior football gets bad press but this was different level. The kids pretty much have to score themselves and make the line calls too. In my sons first fixture his opponents dad took it on himself to score (first to 7 and put out a cone to show the score if they got a point). My son won a point to make it 4-1 and the dad went to put out the cone to show this but then put it back so it still showed 3-1. I shouted over to my son to add his point which he did but all very unnecessary.

In his second game against another opponent after a great rally he won it with a great forehand and the little shit called out. Everyone could see it was in but that was that and he took the point. His dad could have easily overruled it but didn’t and I couldn’t really get into an argument about it so just shouted it was a great shot to my son so we all knew!

Certainly an environment for cheats to thrive.

Interestingly, Botafogo are owned by John Textor who also owns Lyon, who gave us 70M for Niakhate and Mangala. Let's hope we come out of this deal as well as we did that one.

I do wonder whether this is the other side of the deal.

I hate this, but also know that it's not a good end game for them. Sport isn't built that way, and with that attitude and expectation, they won't make the best of themselves. Or enjoy the game.

Unless they go on to play for manure and get all the decisions their way all the time anyway.

My boss. who is an absolutely terrific guy and great to work for, gave me a heads up today about a reorg that has been in the planning for a little while. It looks like my function is going to be moved out into a separate team and combined with a couple of other functions, meaning I will no longer be working for him. He has suggested that I should apply for the director role running the new team though, which is nice. Given he'll be one of the key voices on the hiring panel and he's telling me to apply, that gives me cause for optimism.

If I don't get it though I suspect it will be time to start looking.

Wife's visa extension application started. 2hrs in and we called it an evening. Mainly repetition of the first visa questions. I needed to type in the extended family names of my family three times and the extended names of my wife's family three times. That was a highlight. It all ends in the spectacular moment of handing over another £3900. And then we get to play "find an appointment", the game that sends you to a random UK location to get your eye scanned. Just in case it changed since the last eye scan. Can't wait.

Any cunt who ever tells you immigrants have it easy, gouge their eyeballs out.
