Word on the turnpike is saying the natives didn't trust such revolutionary new technology and decided to burn the wheel.
They must have had a lot of scouts to rub together! They have a lot of wheels!
Having a generally can't be arsed day today. Can't be bothered to do much in the way of work and need to update my CV, but even writing a line seems like a real effort. Will finally give up around 3.30 and go and play snooker.
No match this week as my opponent was working , so didn't have a chance to build on my winning start. Spent Tuesday at my new club in Twyford, which is two (beautifully maintained) tables in a small disused church and is available to use 24 hours a day. Pockets are a bit tighter than usual club tables, so didn't feel practice was going too well. However, practiced on normal table on Wednesday at my usual club and it went very well, so working with the smaller pockets has made it easier on more forgiving tables.
Playing on one of the championship tables this Tuesday, so pockets are really tight, but I did win my first match on one of those tables last week and I'm practicing on one today, so should be in reasonable shape.
Currently waiting to load out from Excel. Annoying that the event closed at 4 but they don't allow the vans in till 4.30
I'm in Barry Island. Nothing is occurring.
Just press the red "X" button in the top right corner?
It was auto saved. The data remained.
I’d always assumed all tables were the same.
Maybe I’ve only played on the unforgiving ones with tighter pockets………
Most ordinary club tables are relative buckets. You generally have to pay more to play on a match table, for a better cloth, maybe a table heater, and pockets setup to a tournament template.
There's quite a difference.
I hate this snooker leakage.
A table heater?
Heat the table bed to optimal playing temperature, such that the cloth doesn't retain moisture, and the balls are more reactive.
Variously using a range of techniques from a couple of electric storage heaters sited under the table all the way to a modern pid controlled sort of electric underfloor heating built into the slates.
Makes it a nice place to lay down.
Tough one, but I’m going to go… album title?
The Fall's 62nd studio album i believe
Can genuinely hear it.
