New season of snooker league started tonight. Finished last season 11th out of 14, helped by some default 3-0 wins at the end.

My handicap has increased, but I was playing a newbie tonight who has been given a handicap of 28, so could have gone either way. Ended up winning 3-1, so a pleasing start. No big breaks, but my long potting was very good and really made the difference in two of the frames where I made a difficult blue the length of the table.

On Holiday at Bluestone. Sent the kids on the bouncy castle 40 minutes ago with the instruction that last one off is the winner. Youngest is out but the girls seem to be battling it out. Only 45 minutes until the bar opens as well.

Eldest just quit. Bugger.

As I was motoring past the ‘village square’ area in October the horn (which are disabled) suddenly went off with no means of turning it off. It was louder than perhaps you’d think and whilst the kids found it funny it was quite embarrassing as people just thought I was being a dick. Thankfully a maintenance man was passing and his screwdriver sorted the issue.
