Looks like my doppelganger in the US has hit more financial difficulties. Lots of emails for loans and job searches. No recent emails threatening to disconnect his phone, so I guess he must be on PAYG by now.

Mine must be getting very annoyed that his health insurer never sends him anything.

Quick question for the London types: any recommendations for nice bars or restaurants in the Streatham area please?

Go have a mooch about the indoor market at Brixton down the road? There's 10-20 independent places inside and it's got a nice vibe.

I was waiting for you to come along and recommend a pop-up atop a disused multi-storey car park, accessed via a rickety lift powered by a man with a twisty, pencil moustache peddling ferociously on a fixie.

    Do better, Jim.

The only place I can think of is not really a bar, but a bottle shop that has a couple of taps, Art & Craft Bottle Shop.

Thanks, this is a for a group of visiting ladies who find themselves staying in an airbnb there and don't know the area at all. So probably more wine bar and less bottle shop.

Streatham itself, despite what locals will tell you, is basically just the crap extension of Brixton. I think they'll enjoy the market area I've linked above. They should just Google for some good local pubs too - there are a few. Oh, the bar inside the Ritzy cinema is decent also. It's a proper "bar" not just a facility of the cinema if you get me.

Thanks. They're in town for Taylor Swift so I don't think they'll be spending too much time in Streatham, it's primarily somewhere to have dinner and drinks tomorrow I think.

Only one current Forest player has more Premier League appearances for us than Jason Lee.
    I found that interesting.
My query was inspired by a podcast stat that our highest scorer in the Prem is Bryan Roy.
